Daily Racing Tips: 16/12/2019

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for racing at Ffos Las, Plumpton and Wolverhampton on 16/12/2019.

Ffos Las

Race 1: TARA WELL (Each Way)
Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: Daryl Jacob

There’s a lot to like about TARA WELL who having threatened to deliver can now convert. The 9yo loves this testing ground and should be cherry ripe following a very solid effort at Uttoxeter when strong in the market.

Race 5: DEJA VUE
Trainer: Anthony Honeyball – Jockey: Aidan Coleman

DEJA VUE has been getting better race by race and sets the standard for the others to aim at. He absolutely hacked up over course and distance last time, and though raised 8lb looked good value for his winning margin.

Race 5: SIXTIES SECRET (Each Way)
Trainer: Sheena West – Jockey: Marc Goldstein

SIXTIES SECRET has knocked on the door and is a winner waiting to happen. She needs to turn things around with Scrutinise on their running here a fortnight ago but has bloomed in that period. The respective prices on these revised terms make Sixties Secre the value Each Way play.

Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Jonjo O’Neill Jnr

The jockey booking tells you a lot regarding the chances of FALBERTO opening his account in this concluding bumper. The selection wasn’t streetwise on his debut at Chepstow but with the benefit of that run behind him can now show his true colours. This doesn’t look an especially warm race, and he is the one to beat.

Wolverhampton 16/12/2019

Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

The progression shown by AUGUSTUS CAESAR when scoring at Lingfield last time smacks of a horse on the up and up. Raised 7lb for that all the way success, he can transfer the form to this different surface and prove more than a handful for his largely out of form foes.
